It’s official: from 10-14 July, Chicago will host the best six teams in the finals of the Men’s Volleyball nations league.
The USA are now waiting for the five national teams that will join them in a battle for the gold. Played over five days and organized in collaboration with the Chicago Sports Commission, the City of Chicago and USA Volleyball, the VNL Finals will be held at the 10,000-capacity Credit Union 1 Arena at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
“After a highly successful inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League in 2018, Chicago will provide an ideal setting for the Men’s Finals in 2019. Fan experience, engagement and entertainment are at the heart of the FIVB’s vision for the competition and I am sure the VNL Finals will be an exciting new highlight in the city’s busy sports calendar, providing a great show for volleyball and sports fans in the United States and around the world,” says the FIVB president Dr. Ary. Graca.
USA Volleyball CEO Jamie Davis said:
“USA Volleyball is excited to be partnering with the FIVB and the Chicago Sports Commission to bring the VNL Finals to Chicago. This will mark the first time this event has been held in North America and we look forward to hosting and having Team USA play head-on-head in the Windy City against the world’s toughest competitors.”
