#Turkey: It isn’t over yet! Arkas comeback from 2 sets down against Fenerbahçe in finals Game 3


The final of turkish Efelerligi championship remains open: Arkas Spor recovered from two sets down in Game 3 against Fenerbahçe and remained in contention for the title.
Having an important 2-0 in the series in their pocket after two tie-breaks and being two sets up against the second seed Arkas Izmir it looked like Fenerbahçe will celebrate the national title after several years.
However, the home team made a full comeback, bring Fenerbahce to the tie-break to win their first match in the series.
The fifth set is played point to point: Hidalgo take the first match point with an ace (13-14), but then he fails the service after a time out: 14-14. Lagumdzija (15-15) and Koç cancel another 2 match points and still Lagumdzija carries on his own capitalizing a defense on Ter Maat. At the second match point of Arkas Izmir closes a Koç’s block on Hidalgo after a prolonged action.
So, thanks to 21 points from Adis Lagumdžija and 5 winning-blocks from Mustafa Koç, Arkas postponed the announcement of the title winners for, at least, one more game which will be played on April 30. Cuban Salvador Hidalgo Oliva was the top scorer, with 25 points, for Fenerbahçe.
