Russia head coach Sammelvuo makes 2 changes in Eurovolley roster compared to Olympic Qualifiers


Russia National Team, one of major favorites at 2019 CEV European Volleyball (September 12-29), will play Pool C (Ljubljana) and will face one of the co-hosts Slovenia, Turkey, Finland, North Macedonia and Belarus.
Head Coach Tuomas Sammelvuo has chosen which 14 players to take to the competition and, compared to the roster that competed in the FIVB International Olympic Qualifier a month ago, in which they earned a promotion to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, two players are missing: outside hitter Fedor Voronkov and libero Roman Martyniuk. They were replaced with Anton Karpukhov and Evgeniy Andreev.

Setters: Alexander Butko, Igor Kobzar
Opposites: Maksim Mikhailov, Viktor Poletaev
Middle blockers: Artem Volvich, Ilyas Kurkaev, Dmitriy Muserskiy, Ivan Iakovlev
Outside hitters: Dmitriy Volkov, Anton Karpukhov, Egor Kluka, Anton Semyshev
Liberos: Valentin Golubev, Evgeniy Andreev
